A new variant of the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 1,06,739 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new variant gets single-channel ABS. This has gone a long way in improving the bike’s overall safety quotient.
The Pulsar NS125 primarily goes up against bikes like the Hero Xtreme 125R and the TVS Raider 125. The Hero Xtreme 125R has an ABS variant, something which was a segment first. Now with the launch of the new Pulsar NS125 variant, the brand has managed to make the bike a lot more appealing.
Other than the improvement in terms of safety, the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 remains unchanged. The bike still features the same design and styling, which has now become very dated. The bike is powered by the same 124.45cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces 12PS and 11Nm and comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
It is built on a perimeter frame and is suspended on a telescopic fork and monoshock. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloys at both ends, with braking duties handled by a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear.
In terms of features, the bike now gets a digital instrument console which offers smartphone connectivity for call andSMS alerts. Overall, this update feels like a missed opportunity from Bajaj. The brand could have made a lot more changes to the bike in terms of design and styling or even a bump in performance to make it stand out. That said, we are glad that the brand has offered single-channel ABS and we think it will improve the rider’s overall safety.

Overall, it is a quite good bike with good performance and minimal costs.
