Bajaj Pulsar N160 Base Variant Discontinued
This brings up the starting price of the N160, and all its variants now get a USD fork
Bajaj has discontinued the Pulsar N160 Single Channel Single Seat in India. It was the base variant of the N160 2V, and the most affordable variant of the N160 lineup.
It was the only variant with a conventional fork, and was priced at Rs 1,16,201 (ex-showroom).
In terms of tech, the bike came with a digital console that includes Bluetooth connectivity, call/SMS alerts and a low fuel indicator. Additionally, it came with a USB Type-C charging port to charge your phone on the go.
Now, the N160 2V lineup starts at Rs 1,22,106 and all variants get an inverted fork and an LCD console with turn-by-turn navigation.

The N160 2V is powered by a 164.82cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine and paired with a five-speed gearbox. The bike has a 33 mm inverted fork across the 3 variants. The top variant gets a monoshock with 130 mm of travel, and the base and the mid variants get a monoshock with a travel of 120 mm. The top variant gets a 300 mm front disc, the mid and the new base variant have a 280 mm front disc. The top and the mid variants have a 230 mm rear disc while the lower variant has a 130 mm drum. The top variant of the N160 2V includes traction control and dual-channel ABS as standard.

With the conventional fork variant discontinued, the N160 2V range has become more expensive to get into. With that, it one-ups its rivals like the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V and the Hero Xtreme 160 2V, which have a conventional fork on all their variants. However, its base price is also considerably higher than its rivals. That said, the Pulsar N160 2V is quite a well-rounded streetfighter, with aggressive styling, a good set of features, and most importantly, punchy performance.
