With Ganesh Chaturthi set to be celebrated in a couple of weeks, Piaggio India has announced its festive offer “More With Morya”. As part of this offer customers stand a chance to win assured cashback on the purchase of a new Piaggio two-wheeler. Customers will be provided a scratch card and they can win upto Rs 20,000 in cashback. The “More With Morya” offer is only available at Piaggio dealerships in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan between August 1 and 31. The scheme is available for all scooters across the Vespa and Aprilia range.

The Italian brand will be banking on this new scheme to improve sales as the BS6 transition has resulted in prices of its scooters increasing massively. The BS6 Vespa range is priced between Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom). You can read about the Vespa BS6 scooters here. Aprilia recently introduced the disc brake version of the Storm 125 for Rs 91,321. The Aprilia Storm 125 is the cheapest Aprilia scooter on sale in our country.
The new offer is an attempt by Piaggio to help revive sales for Vespa and Aprilia in India amid the COVID-19 pandemic. But whether buyers will be ready to spend a premium on these Italian machines remains to be seen. Another victim of the ongoing pandemic is the Aprilia SXR 160 as the launch has been delayed by a couple of months. The Italian brand is also working on the SXR 125 which will make its debut in 2021.
