5 Reasons To Bring Honda Shine 125 Home This Diwali

Refine engine, attractive looks, attractive mileage and more!

The Honda Shine 125 is the highest-selling motorcycle from Honda, and here are five reasons why you should also consider bringing it home this Diwali. The bike is available in two variants: the Drum variant which costs Rs 83,422, and the Disc variant costs Rs 87,782 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).

Subtle Yet Sporty Styling

Shine 125 is a no-nonsense commuter bike which is mostly focused on practicality.  It doesn't disappoint in terms of its looks and design. It has a commuter silhouette but the sporty graphics and a metallic 3-D Honda logo on the tank add a premium touch. The bike also gets a few chrome elements on the headlight, side panels and exhaust cover.

The bike is available in six colour options, Decent Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Siren Blue, Rebel Red Metallic, and Geny Gray Metallic, giving a range of looks from subtle to vibrant.

Refined Engine

Honda is known for its refined engine, and the case is the same as with the Shine 125. It is powered by a 123.94 cc air-cooled engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox, churning out 10.7 PS at 7,500 rpm and 11 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

Mileage

The 123.94 cc engine doesn’t just feel refined, it also delivers very attractive mileage figures. In our mileage test, the Shine 125 gave us 62 kmpl in city condition and 65 kmpl on highways.

Convenience & Safety Features

Honda has given a decent set of features to its bike. It has a fully digital LCD console that has a real-time mileage indicator, distance to empty indicator, speedometer, gear position indicator and more. It also gets an idling stop-start system to improve mileage, a silent starter and a 15W USB type-C charging port. Safety is ensured by CBS and the side stand engine cut-off feature.

Underpinnings

The Disc variant gets a 240 mm disc, whereas the Drum variant gets a 130 mm drum at the front, and both variants get a 130 mm drum brake at the rear. It rolls on 18-inch wheels at both ends. The bike has a seat height of 791 mm, 162 mm ground clearance, a kerb weight of 113 kg, and a 10.5-litre fuel tank.

BikeDekho Says

The Honda Shine 125 offers great styling, a smooth engine, an adequate but modern feature set and satisfactory mileage figures, basically all the things which make it a great commuter bike at this price point.

It makes a great option for people who are price conscious and want to have a comfortable and predictable ride around the city even with a pillion on. So, if all of that catches your fancy, you wouldn’t go wrong in getting home the Honda Shine 125 this Diwali.

बेस्ट कम्युनिटी बाइक 125 सीसी

125cc segment mein Honda Shine sabse badhiya commuter bike hai, jo behad aaramdayak hai aur achha average deti hai. Isko chalane mein bahut comfort feel hota hai, aur gaddhon ya pahadon par chalane mein bhi kaafi aaram milta hai. Isse chalane mein koi pareshani nahi hoti, overall great bike hai, mileage acha deti hai Read More

Bike positive and negative reviews

Good mileage on highway and pickup is mind blowing, I love this bike this is the best bike for daily use, i'm using very roughly and i spent 250 rupees of petrol in this bike, and cover 150 km smoothly, that's why i love this bike. This bike is very comfortable with my experience because I drive this bike daily approx 120/130 kms using 180-200 ruppes of petrol in that also bike will save some petrol in the performance of controlling this the best bike. This is the best bike under budget, excellent for middle class family because mileage is good and low cost maintenance, and budget friendly bike, and i love the bike look i don't face any problems in this bike, and one more thing. Company want to improve this type of bike gear system because this bike gear problem is a major problem. Read More

Honda shyne me bahut problem face karni karti hai

I already had a Honda Shine 125 cc which was working better, keeping that in mind, I bought my second Honda Shine 125 cc in November 2025, but I felt that the quality was compromised in it. Earlier I used to praise Honda's engine a lot, but not anymore. My first Honda Shine was running very well so I did not buy it whereas my new bike is having a lot of problems like engine oil leakage and gear shifting and I am very sad to see that. Now I will not tell anyone to buy Honda Shine. Compared to the old Honda Shine, the new Honda shine is made of very poor quality. The metal used in it is also of very poor quality. The engine is losing oil very fast and the gears in the gearbox are also slipping.Read More
