In 2015, India witnessed various bike launches in different categories and price range. Some of these bikes priced much pocket-friendly that you can easily afford them while some got a price tag that makes them just a dream for a common man. So, let’s find out the most expensive and most affordable bikes launched in the country in 2015.

Most Expensive: 

1. Indian Roadmaster:

Indian Roadmaster: Not only the costliest one but Indian Roadmaster motorcycle is also the heaviest one launched in India in 2015. Launched at Rs. 34.95 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) the bike weighs more than 400 kg in dry condition. Highlighted features of the bike include the iconic Thunder Stroke 111 engine, ABS, Cruise Control, keyless start, 200-watt stereo system with Bluetooth & smartphone compatibility, horizon power windshield, 142.33 litres of remote locking storage and many more.

2. Yamaha YZF-R1M:

The new Yamaha YZF-R1 entered in India in April 2015 along with its higher factory specification version- YZF-R1M that is priced at Rs. 29.43 lac. The R1M is one of the most advanced supersport motorcycles on the planet and uses most of the latest features available in the other motorcycles in the respective segment. 

3. Kawasaki Ninja H2:

The fastest accelerating road legal motorcycle in production, Kawasaki Ninja H2 entered the Indian market in April 2015 with a sticker price tag of Rs. 29 lac (ex-showroom, Pune). Another special fact about the machine is it is the only supercharged production motorcycle with a maximum power output of 207bhp. 

4. MV Agusta F4:

One of the most beautifully crafted supersport motorcycles- MV Agusta F4 arrived in India in October 2015 at a price of Rs. 25.5 lac (ex-showroom, Pune). The bike features MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System) technology along with Ride-By-Wire, four engine maps, 8-stage traction control, Torque Shift System Electronically Assisted Shift (EAS) and Inertial platform lean angle sensor.

5. Harley-Davidson Road King:

Harley-Davidson launched the legendary Road King in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 25 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike is a complete cruiser package with a Twin Cam 103 engine, ABS, Cruise Control, saddlebags, pneumatically adjustable suspensions and much more. 

Most Affordable: 

1. Bajaj CT 100:

Bajaj relaunched its most affordable motorcycle- CT 100 in March 2015 with a starting price tag of Rs. 35,034 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 100cc commuter motorcycle has a very basic design and comes with all the necessary features for a comfortable and economical ride. Cherry on the cake is its mileage of up to 95kmpl that will also save your pennies after buying the bike.

2. TVS Sport: TVS

launched the updated Sport in September 2015 with improved mileage, all-gear electric start, new graphics, revised side panels and robust Black alloy wheels. The new model has a starting price of Rs. 36,880 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it claims to return a fuel economy up to 95kmpl. 

3. Hero MotoCorp HF Deluxe:

Hero MotoCorp HF Deluxe: Hero MotoCorp launched the updated HF Deluxe with new body graphics and side stand indicator. Hero is known for its quality products and HF Delux also gets all the basic features and quality of a commuter motorcycle and all that comes at just Rs. 42,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

4. Bajaj Platina 100 ES:

Bajaj introduced a better version of its popular Platina as Platina 100 ES with a starting price tag of Rs. 43,241 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new bike received some tweaks in the bodywork along with body coloured visor and rear grab rail. The ergonomically designed bike claims to return an improved mileage of up to 96.9kmpl.

 

5. Hero MotoCorp Splendor Pro:

Finally the legendary Hero Splendor received a major visual update in October 2015. The bike gets more aerodynamic and stylish bodywork along with a revised instrument console. However, it retains the same reliable 97.2cc engine that powers the whole 100cc commuter range of the company. The price of the bike starts at Rs. 46,850 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
