At the 2015 EICMA in Milan, the Austrian Motorcycle manufacturer KTM unveiled the 2016 model of KTM Duke 690 and 690R. Both the bikes come with an enhanced single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that stimulate 1000 rpm higher and offers more uniform power delivery. This revised engine comprises of intake camshaft which works as an additional balancer shaft, thereby enhancing refinement. Furthermore, the intake and exhaust system have been modified to make the mill accommodate well with Euro4 emission norms (It's the first KTM engine that has received such kind of approval). The standard version of the Duke 690 churns out 73PS of power and 75Nm of torque when it comes linked to a 6-speed transmission, whereas the Duke 690R develops 75PS of power just because of Akrapovic exhaust system.
