Ducati has recently introduced a new livery for its 2016 MotoGP bike, Desmosedici. The event took place at the Ducati Auditorium in Borgo Panigale, Italy. The bike was unveiled in the presence of Ducati riders, Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali, Sporting director Paolo Ciabatti, Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall'Igna and Team Manager Davide Tardozzi.

The major change in the 2016 Ducati Desmosedici is the new unified ECU software and the bike also gets Michelin tyres that have replaced the Bridgestone ones used in the previous model. The bike has already been spotted testing many times in the past and has been designed under Dall'Igna. Another impressive change that made everyone notice was the white painted Ducati-signature ‘winglets’.

Regarding this, at the event, Andrea Dovizioso said, “We had minor issues in the first two tests but we showed improvements at Phillip Island. I believe we have all what it takes to lead, I have high expectations for the Qatar test."

“I think it's a good bike, we went through a positive year in 2015 and made a step forward. 2016 will be difficult because we have high expectations and we have to be up to the task", Andrea Iannone added.

Despite dislocating his shoulder twice, Iannone had secured fifth position in the World Championship. On the other hand, Dovizioso slipped to the seventh position after a great start to the season. The Ducati Desmosedici was started in the year 2003 and has helped the company win the MotoGP title with Casey Stoner in the year 2007.

The new livery looks more refreshing in comparison to the previous one. Ducati had won the last MotoGP title in 2007 and has been waiting for another victory since a long time. With the new Desmosedici bike, the riders would be really hoping for a title win and for obvious reasons, they must have been under huge pressure as well. Stay tuned for more!
