Bajaj Pulsar 180F Latest Updates
Bajaj has once again hiked the price of the Pulsar 180F. It now costs Rs 1,14,515 (ex-showroom Delhi), Rs 1,497 more than the before. The Bajaj Pulsar 180F gets Pulsar 220F styling and features but comes with a frugal motor and a more affordable price tag. It slots between the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 220F.
Bajaj Pulsar 180F Price:
When the BS6-compliant version of the Bajaj Pulsar 180F was launched, it was priced at Rs 1,07,827. The current price tag of Rs 1,14,515 is quite a considerable jump, especially when you factor the new price of the bike, which is around Rs 6,600 more than the BS4 version. You don’t get a lot of additional features for that extra price though. All prices ex-showroom Delhi.
Bajaj Pulsar 180F Features:
The Bajaj Pulsar 180F borrows its design from the larger Pulsar 220F. You get the same half-fairing with vertically-stacked dual-projector headlamps on the Pulsar 180F. The semi-digital cluster does feel dated in 2020, with data like gear position indicator, a clock and range/distance-to-empty reading missing from it. The digital dash shows two trip meters, an odometer, a fuel gauge and a speedometer while the tachometer is an analogue unit. Premium touches like the backlit switches heighten the appeal of the ageing Pulsar 180.
Bajaj Pulsar 180F Engine:
Nestled in the double downtube frame is the same old 178. 6cc single-cylinder air-cooled DTS-i motor as before. Bajaj has finally given fuel injection to the Pulsar 180F to meet the BS6 emission norms. The output figures in its BS6 avatar are 17. 02PS and 14. 22Nm, which is 0. 3Nm more than the BS4 carb engine. It still gets a 5-speed gearbox.
Bajaj Pulsar 180F Suspensions & Brakes:
The other significant update on the Bajaj Pulsar 180F in the BS6 era is the larger 280mm front rotor. Its predecessor ran with a 260mm unit. Thankfully, the 230mm rear disc brake is the same. Single-channel ABS is standard. There is no change to be reported in the suspension department, with the Pulsar 180F still making use of the old telescopic fork and twin gas-charged preload-adjustable twin shocks.
Bajaj Pulsar 180F Rivals:
The chief rival for the Bajaj Pulsar 180F remains the TVS Apache RTR 180. For the same price as the Pulsar 180, there are other options available like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer and the Bajaj Pulsar NS160.
