Aprilia Caponord 1200

Aprilia has released it superior adventure bike in the country in the year 2013. Christened as Aprilia Caponord 1200, the bike is designed while keeping adventure biking in mind with some small scale touring purpose. This adventure bike is the first offering by the company in India.
 

It houses an 1197cc, 90° V-twin engine which is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The motor belts out 123bhp of power at 8250 rpm along with 114.73Nm of torque at 6800 rpm. The machine comes with Integrated engine management system along with two injectors per cylinder and Ride by Wire throttle control with three maps: Sport (S), Touring (T), Rain (R).
 

The bike is fitted with 120/17 R17 and 180/55-R17 radial tubeless tyres at both, front and rear ends, respectively, that comes integrated over lightweight aluminium alloy with three split spokes wheels. The suspension duties are carried out by 43mm Sachs upside-down fully adjustable fork at the front and Sachs dynamic mono-shock absorber at the rear, which is electronically managed with ADD (Aprilia Dynamic Damping). Furthermore, fierce stopping power is provided by 320 dual disc brakes with a four-piston calliper at the front and 240mm disc brake at the rear.
 

It has an overall measurement of 2245 mm in length and 1440 mm in height along with a wheelbase of 1565 mm. Its total kerb weight is summed up 214 kg. The front profile of the bike is equipped with twin headlamps and a central positioning light along with a high raised clear visor. Front fairing of the bike is neatly crafted that offers it a sporty appearance. The vehicle houses an elegant split seat, which promises to offer optimum comfort.
 

It features a huge fuel tank of 24-liter capacity, which offers long distance ride with ease. It is configured with an exhaust system that is mounted with a two into one stainless steel silencer that gives it a tough look. Moreover, the bike has been also bestowed with ATC (Aprilia Traction Control), which provides a premium stability under strict road conditions. Besides this, the Travel version comes additionally with dynamic damping (semi-active suspension) at the front and rear, ride-by-wire, cruise control and panniers as standard.

Talking about instrumentation, it is easy to rear and totally digital consisting of a speedometer, tachometer, trip meter and fuel gauge. For the convenient ride, the manufacturer offers the bike with two saddlebags, each saddlebag has an ample storage space 29 liters that can accommodate a decent amount of luggage.

The Italian manufacturer offers the bike with 320mm dual disc brakes at the front and 240mm disc brake at the rear, that is further integrated with a continental two-channel ABS unit and work very well even in harsh riding condition. Furthermore, Aprilia Dynamic Damping system ensures a precise and responsive suspension experience. It comes with an Aprilia cruise control system that automatically sets the speed as required by the rider. Besides this, the bike equipped with Aprilia traction control system that gives an optimum security to the rider by keeping the bike not to lose the control in any mishap.

Furthermore, it is equipped with a suspension system that includes 43mm Sachs upside-down fully adjustable fork up front and Sachs dynamic mono-shock at the rear, which comes assisted with electronically managed with ADD (Aprilia Dynamic Damping).
