Ultraviolette Partners With Bolt Earth To Expand Fast Charging Network
This partnership will improve the charging infrastructure in India, and make fast chargers more accessible to all electric two-wheeler owners
Ultraviolette has partnered with Bolt.Earth to expand its Type-6 fast-charging network across India. In the initial phase, Bolt has installed fast chargers in Kerala, Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Delhi, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu. There will be 50 more fast chargers over the next two months, and a total of 2,000 over the next 24 months.
These will be 3kW DC fast chargers that can be used by all two-wheelers with a Type-6 fast charging port. For reference, these chargers can power up the Ultraviolette F77 and Ultraviolette X-47 from 0 to 80% in 2.5 hours and from 0 to 100% in 3.5 hours. Bolt Earth also plans to have 12kW DC fast chargers in urban areas in the due course.
The partnership should give the Indian charging infrastructure a significant boost, when completely operational. It will also help reduce the charging anxiety in existing and potential electric two-wheeler owners.
