Triumph has launched a brand-new colour for the Scrambler 400X and the bike looks amazing! The new colour is called the Pearl Metallic White. The Scrambler 400X is now available in a total of four colours: Carnival Red/Phantom Black, Phantom Black/Silver Ice, Matt Khaki Green/Fusion White, and the new Pearl Metallic White.
The Triumph Scrambler 400X looks stunning with the metallic white paint job and also gets a black strip which runs from the top to the bottom of the fuel tank and adds a nice contrast. The tank adorns the Triumph badge and the motorcycle comes with a brown seat which adds a premium quotient to the motorcycle. Another addition to this new paint scheme is the introduction of a blacked-out exhaust which looks sporty over the sliver one you get in the other paint schemes.
Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged. The Triumph Scrambler 400X is powered by a 398.15cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 40PS at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension includes an inverted fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock, with 150mm wheel travel on both ends. The brakes consist of a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear, mounted on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. The Scrambler 400X gets a seat height of 835mm and tips the scales at 185kg wet.
In terms of features, the Triumph Scrambler is as simple as they come. It gets a semi-digital instrument console which consists of a small LCD screen along and an analogue speedometer. The LCD console shows the tachometer, trip details and the fuel level. Rider aids just include dual-channel ABS.
The Triumph Scrambler 400X is priced at Rs 2,64,496 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes against the likes of Royal Enfield HImalayan 450 and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, and the Yezdi Scrambler.
