The just-launched Tork Kratos is loaded to the gills with features ranging from connectivity to riding modes!

Tork Motors is back in action with the newly launched Tork Kratos electric bike. Priced at Rs 1,32,499 (standard variant, ex-showroom Pune including FAME II subsidy), the Tork Kratos is the company’s second wind into the lucrative electric two-wheeler segment. Tork has made sure the Kratos is every bit a modern electric bike, loaded to the brim with features. Here’s what they’re about:

An info-laden smart instrument cluster:

The Tork Kratos is equipped with a full digital TFT instrument cluster. It isn’t a touchscreen unit but is compatible with a smartphone via a dedicated app. Using the app, you can access features such as anti-theft system, crash alert, Safe Home feature, hazard lights, and guide-me-home lights.

Of course, the e-bike also gets Over The Air (OTA) updates, geo-fencing, ride analytics, and turn-by-turn navigation on the app. The Kratos R variant, in particular, features a Motor Walk Assist, which essentially lets the bike crawl at walking speeds in case of a puncture. It also features track mode and smart charge analytics for a more detailed data capture. Other notable features on both variants include an all-LED lighting system, USB charging port, tripmeter, odometer, speedometer, battery level with low battery indicator, range indicator, and clock.

Feature-loaded powertrain and underpinnings:

The Tork Kratos’ Axial Flux motor is reined by three riding modes: Eco, City, Sports. The R variant also gets an even sportier Track mode, which can be activated over Bluetooth. Both standard and R variants come with a reverse mode for extra practicality. And if the e-bike is going to be left unused for extended periods of time, then there’s the Vacation mode on both variants too.

The electric bike is equipped with disc brakes at both ends, enhanced by CBS as well as regenerative braking system. Proper dual-channel ABS would’ve been a welcome addition here.

Tork seems to have ticked all the right boxes when it comes to making a feature-rich electric motorcycle. We hope the startup is able to scale up its sales network and charging infrastructure soon so that there’s no bottleneck on those fronts. All in all, the Tork Kratos serves as the middle ground between the less expensive Revolt RV 400 and the more powerful, more performance-packed Ultraviolette F77, which will be launched soon.
