The Access 125 BS6 remains pretty much unchanged apart from the addition of Eco Assist, an external fuel filling cap and a new LED headlamp. The Eco Assist feature is merely an indicator on the speedometer that helps riders extract more fuel efficiency from the scooter. It turns green (Eco mode) when you’re easy on the throttle but gradually turns blue when you begin to accelerate harder.
The updated single-cylinder motor puts out 8.7PS. However, its torque output has dropped to 10Nm (0.2Nm lower than before) which is now offered at 5500rpm (500rpm higher than before). Moreover, the addition of fuel injection has made the engine smoother, crisper and more tractable than before. You can read all about it in our road test review.
Having said that, the scooter still lacks in terms of premium features, something the Honda Activa 125 offers in abundance.
