Popular Tamil Actor Ajith Kumar Helps A Stranded Biker
Thala Ajith being a real life hero by helping out a rider with a punctured tyre in Ladakh
Most people believe travelling to be something that is planned comfortably with family or friends. However, there is an entire gamut of travellers, who get their kicks out of travelling solo, even more so on bikes. And with the Himalayas being a popular destination for the majority of bikers this time of the year, the spirit of biking brotherhood is felt in the air of these majestic mountains.
There are risks involved, like mechanical breakdowns or punctures, while riding solo in the hills. However, bikers rarely leave their counterparts stranded, even if they are a complete stranger. While we all have received help from a fellow biker in the past, how often is it that this same gesture is offered by a renowned celebrity?
Well, this is an incident that happened with a biker named Manju Kashyap, whose bike suffered a puncture during his ride in Ladakh. He ended up getting a helping hand from famous Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, popularly known as ‘Thala Ajith’.
Ajith, riding a BMW R 1250 GS Adventure, stopped to help out Manju by sourcing an air compressor from a support car that was part of his entourage. After helping the stranded rider, the popular Tamil actor also obliged to ride along with Manju for a while, after which they stopped at a roadside tea stall, where both of them had a conversation about their ride plans.
Manju, just like any one of us, was awestruck by the film star’s simplicity. Ajith Kumar is an avid biker, while also having prior experience as a racing driver. He is among very few Indians to race in Formula championships. He drove in the 2003 Formula Asia BMW Championships and the 2010 Formula 2 Championship along with two other Indians.

Riding was awesome. Actually more comfortable and it generates good power. I suggest this for long rides and best for adventure
With identical styling to its BMW R1200GS predecessor and its chassis left untouched, not a lot seems to have changed with the R1250GS at first glance.
Best in this segment. Power delivery is phenomenally exceptional and you can feel the torque on the ground as you rev at higher RPM. Love this bike.
