Newly Developed RE 410cc Motor Snapped

Royal Enfield will be entering into a new segment with its much awaited motorcycle RE Himalayan. Before the official launch, the bike was photographed on several occasions while testing or at assembly line. Recently, the engine of RE Himalayan was snapped.

As per the spied images, the all-new 410cc engine is finished in all Black paint with the latest ‘RE’ insignia imprinted on the crankcase. The RE Himalayan engine is expected to be the most refined and effective unit till date after the 535cc engine that is used in the RE Continental GT. Though, the Chennai based manufacturer has not revealed its technical specifications officially, but it is rumoured that newly developed motor throws out a maximum power around 28 bhp and peak torque of 32Nm.

The new adventure tourer motorcycle has already created a lot of hype among the bike lovers. As we have reported earlier, It will be equipped with 410cc oil-cooled single cylinder engine and the engine is paired to a 5-speed transmission. Besides this, the upcoming bike will be provided a push button start and kick start option will be absent.

Amid wide speculations, the highly anticipated RE Himalayan is going to be launched during the 2016 Auto Expo in New Delhi in the month of February. The price of the adventure tourer machine is kept competitive and it will be available with a price tag around Rs 1.70 lac (Ex-showroom).

According to unconfirmed news RE will launch an other unit of 750cc twin cylinder engine. It is expected that the large capacity engine has been developed, so that the manufacturer could match the likes of Triumph and Harley.
