The Japanese auto giant, Kawasaki seems to be following an aggressive strategy these days. As we are aware, it has already launched an entry level, a mid level and four high performance bikes in the Indian market. Now, keeping the momentum, the company has brought another performance bike -Z800. It is a naked bike from the company's 'Z' brand, which has been designed using 'Sugomi' approach to make it more wild and mean. The company has priced the bike at Rs. 8.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which seems quite enticing.

The bike looks aggressive with its sharp twin headlamps and minimized body panels. All the parts of the bike get a Z element including fuel tank, front cowls, seat, LED taillamp and many others. Kawasaki Z800 sports an 806cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, inline four using 4-valve per head configuration. Mated with a six-speed gearbox, the engine delivers a maximum power of 111bhp to the rear wheel. The peak torque curve goes to 83Nm @8000rpm, which helps achieve a maximum speed of 233kmph.

Bolted on a tubular backbone, high-tensile steel frame using with engine sub-frame, it has overall dimensions (L x W x H) 2,100mm x 800mm x 1,050mm. For better handling and stability even at the time of cornering, it has got 120/70ZR17M/C (58W) and 180/55ZR17M/C (73W) size wide tyres at the front and the rear respectively. Front of the bike has been supported by 41mm inverted forks with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability, while the rear gets bottom-link Uni-Trak, gas-charged single shock with piggyback reservoir, step-less rebound damping and preload adjustability. To enhance the safety and quick control, front wheel comes equipped with 310mm dual semi-floating petal discs with opposed 4-piston calipers and a 250mm petal disc with single-piston caliper has been fitted on the rear wheel.

Kawasaki Z800 is a perfect street sport bike with balanced performance and loaded with features and style. The company also has priced the bike very aggressively. So, we believe that the bike will give a strong competition to the other options in the segment.

Amazing Bike

It's an amazing bike, the one criticism is stand of this bike is too short and awkward to get down than others. This bike is very good for beginners who are trying to purchase 1st super and middleweight bikes. The seat of the z800 is so comfortable and big, by this you get very nice attention from the public. I recommend this bike to those who need a middle-weight bike and high power. Read More

Best Bike In This Segment

The Z800 is not just a superbike; it's a real monster bike. When I ride it in the city or on the highway, the performance is marvelous. The engine sound is incredibly smooth, and the inline 4-cylinder exhaust sound is like music to my ears. My Z800 bike has a mileage of 18 in the city and 21 on the highway, which is quite impressive. Thanks to the Kawasaki engineers for creating such a fantastic machine.Read More
