Likely to get the same parallel twin engine as the Ninja 300

Kawasaki Versys X 300 was spotted testing recently, hinting at a potential launch in India soon. Judging by the images we have been able to get a good idea of what to expect from this upcoming ADV.

Looking at the spy shots it is clear that the Versys X 300 comes with a typical ADV design. It features a tall windscreen, wide handlebar, tank extensions and a long single piece seat. The taillight is tucked into the tail section and also features a tail rack to mount a top box and panniers on the side.

Hardware wise, the Versys X 300 features a telescopic fork up front and monoshock in the rear. It rolls on what appears to be a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel wrapped around in tube tyres.

The bike is already sold in the international market and will likely come to India with the same specifications. The engine too, is likely to be the same as the international markets – 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which is also used in the Ninja 300, producing 39PS at 11,000rpm and 26.1Nm at 10,000rpm. In terms of features, it will most probably come with the same set of features as the Ninja 300 such as a slip and assist clutch and dual throttle valves.

The Versys X 300 could likely be launched by the end of 2024 or early 2025, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.8 lakh ex-showroom. Once launched the Versys 300 will compete with the upcoming 2024 KTM 390 Adventure and the currently available Royal Enfield Himalayan
