Quick read:

  • Hero Xpulse 421 is expected to be unveiled at EICMA 2026

  • It will have a different styling as compared to the Xpulse 210

  • India launch could happen next year

Hero MotoCorp has posted a social media teaser for what seems to be the upcoming Xpulse 421 bike. The video clip explicitly shows Hero MotoSports’ 450 cc rally bikes while the caption mentions Xpulse – this could be a hint at the Xpulse 421.

Until then, here’s everything we know about the upcoming bike:

What We Know So Far

The Xpulse 421 will be the biggest adventure bike from the brand; the motorcycle has been spied already in Ladakh - it has given us a clear look at almost everything the bike will be equipped with.

In terms of looks, the brand has already patented the Xpulse 421 design. The bike looks nothing like the current Xpulse range. Rather, it looks more adventure ready, and quite big.

The ADV is expected to be powered by an all-new 421cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, however its output is yet uncertain. Though, we can expect it  to be much more capable in touring and for the roads less travelled than its smaller sibling, the Xpulse 210.

The 421's underpinnings include a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup and could be  wrapped with Metzeler Tourance dual-purpose tyres. It gets a non-adjustable fork and a rear monoshock, though there could be different variants with adjustable suspension.

The feature list should include all-led lighting, a large TFT display with connectivity and navigation.  It should come with smartphone connectivity, call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. Other expected bits are a ride-by-wire throttle, quickshifter, traction control, dual-channel ABS, and ride modes.

Hero Xpulse 421 India Launch

Hero MotoCorp could finally unveil the Xpulse 421 at EICMA 2026, early next month. India launch could happen sometime in 2027, and be priced at around Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the Xpulse 421 will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure. Though, how it will fare against them remains to be seen, at least until its full specifications are out.
