Hero MotoCorp Xtreme Sports now on Official Site; Launch Soon

The much awaited Sportier variant of Hero MotoCorp Xtreme has been added to its official site, hinting that the launch of Xtreme Sports is near. However, there is not a single word about the price tag of the bike yet. Christened as Hero MotoCorp Xtreme Sports, it is made more appealing than the ordinary model with new wolf eye headlamps, redesigned analog plus digital instrument console, street fighter looks & graphics, split seats, aluminum foot peg mount & grab rails, refreshed muffler& side panels, light reflectors on rear fender, sporty front fender, wider rear tubeless tyres, engine cowl and more powerful engine.

 


Hero MotoCorp Xtreme Sports is bestowed with a tweaked 149.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, OHC engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Configured to generate a better power output of 15.2bhp at 8500rpm with a net torque of 13.50Nm at 7000rpm, it is incorporated with CV type with carburetor controlled variable ignition.

 


Hero MotoCorp Xtreme Sports is built on a tubular diamond type chassis, which is equipped to a telescopic front forks and rear rectangular swing arm with 5-step adjustable gas reservoir suspension. It is made run on front 80 / 100 x 18 - 47 P and rear 110 / 90 x 18 - 61 P tubeless tyres. Enveloping 18 x 1.85 front and 18 x 2.15 rear alloy wheels, the tyres are applied with 240mm disc brake at the front and 130mm drum brake at the rear, while 200mm disc brake is optional rear brake. It also notes down the following dimensions that are different from the standard model.

 


It is expected that Hero MotoCorp Xtreme Sports will reach the dealerships by March’15 with the following color options: Black with Red, Pyro Orange, Mercuric Silver, Panther Black and Fiery Red.
