Hero Motocorp HX250R- the strongest contender in 250cc segment

Hero was sounding subtle and quietly ended the last year, 2013, but as the dates of the huge event - the 2014 Indian Auto Expo approached, the company started to unfold its cards. At that time, several products were showcased by the company that created a huge buzz about the company. Out of those various introductions, one product that literally zoomed the company's plans for future was Hero Motocorp HX250R. This machine logs-in the company in the 250cc segment of bikes, which now a days is a bit charged-up. Seeking to the upcoming opportunity, the company has rolled down this bike from their stable.

 

Hero HX250R

 

Hero Motocorp has drawn a new mill to power this machine, it is a 249cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, 4-stroke, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine. It will come mated with the 6-speed manual transmission and will be able to provide a maximum power of 31PS and peak torque of 26Nm, which makes it the most powerful 250cc bike till date. It takes around 8 seconds to touch 100kmph mark from stand still. The weight of the bike is also low, which makes it a quick speed gainer and robust.

 

Hero HX250R

 

Hero Motocorp HX250R has been designed beautifully. Sporting a full-fairing, this bike becomes the most aggressive and powerful faired motorcycle by the company. The company has crafted this bike quite perfectly, since the shiny and sharp detailing to the bike are simply ravishing. The dual headlamps with Day running lights and long wind shield in black spread the beauty of the bike. The visor mounted rear view mirrors and LED indicators are also shaped smartly. New alloy wheels with disc brakes with Anti-lock braking system as optional make it more valuable and stronger against the competition.

 

Triumph Daytona 250

 

The side profile of the bike gives a complete look and feel. It is a proper racing material including the muscular tank, the upright handlebars, the seat height for the rider and the gear pedal, which are placed perfectly and help the rider obtain a perfect riding or racing position. The maker of the bike has given it a step-up seat with chrome grab bars for pillion rider's safety. Telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable monoshock at the rear are equipped to the suspension system of the bike making it a comfortable and relaxed ride. Hero Motocorp HX250R is really the best option in its class the price of the bike being below the Rs. 2 lakh mark.

 

Yamaha R25

 

This segment is new but has evolved quite well till now. There is almost one bike each from the popular manufacturers like Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Hyosung, which will be enjoying the company of the upcoming bikes like Yamaha R25 and Triumph Daytona 250. Along with these motorcycles, it will be in competition with Bajaj Pulsar SS400 and KTM RC 200 in terms of price.
