FB Mondial Coming Back To India With A New Aprilia Tuono 457 Rival
The brand had launched a retro-style roadster in the past, but now they’ll be back with a modern streetfighter, called the Piega 452

Gets a cool-looking single-sided swingarm
FB Mondial is coming back to India, and the brand will be unveiling the Piega 452 at India Bike Week 2025, on December 19th and 20th. The bike will be sold in India by Motohaus - the same company that handles India operations of VLF and Brixton Motorcycles.
The FB Mondial Piega 452 is a modern streetfighter, and this will be the first model in the brand’s lineup for the Indian market. Back when the brand had first entered India back in 2018, it had launched the HPS 300, a retro-looking scrambler/cafe racer crossover. This time, FB Mondial is taking the opposite approach and has gone for a modern-looking bike.
The FB Mondial Piega 452 is powered by a 449.5cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which produces 47.5PS and 39Nm. These figures are pretty respectable, and the engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and a chain drive. For perspective, the Aprilia Tuono 457’s 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor that outputs 47.6PS and 43.5Nm.
What really makes the bike look even cooler is the single-sided swingarm - something you see on much more expensive large-capacity bikes like Ducati. Other than this, the rest of the underpinnings are pretty conventional. The bike gets an inverted fork and monoshock, and rolls on 17-inch alloys at both ends. The wheels are wrapped with a 120-section front and a 160-section rear Pirelli Angel GT tyres.
The bike has a kerb weight of 176kg, which makes it only 1kg heavier than the Aprilia Tuono 457. At 820mm, the seat height is around 20mm taller compared to the Aprilia Tuono 457, coming to 820mm. The Piega 452 has a 10-litre fuel tank, which we think is a bit too small for a performance-oriented 450cc streetfighter.
We expect the Piega 452 to be priced at Rs 5 lakh ex-showroom. Although this would make it a bit expensive compared to rivals like the Aprilia Tuono 457, it could still be the cheapest bike in India with a single-sided swingarm.
