    Quick News Highlights:

    • Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr seen testing on Indian roads

    • It has a 486cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine

    • Brixton currently only has 5 dealerships across India

The Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr has been spotted testing for the first time on Indian roads, hinting that maybe the Austrian-Chinese motorcycle brand may soon expand its product line-up in the country. Kolhapur (Maharashtra)-based company KAW Veloce Motors brought Brixton to India in November 2024 with four bikes.

    Design

The Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr gets styling that is very similar to (read inspired by) the Royal Enfield Himalayan, and the recently spotted Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric as well - especially with the bodywork surrounding the headlight and fuel tank. It also gets handguards, a luggage rack, a fairly tall windscreen, and an upswept exhaust. Round elements like the headlight and the mirrors give it a bit of a retro appeal.

    Engine

The Crossfire 500 Storr is powered by a 486cc, parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 47.6PS at 8,500rpm, 43Nm at 6,750rpm, and is paired to a six-speed gearbox. Expect the engine to have enough grunt for sustaining triple digit highway speeds.

    Underpinnings

This Brixton bike runs on 19/17 front/rear spoke wheels with tubeless 110-section and 150-section front and rear tyres. The tyres are block pattern to ensure decent performance on trails and on the highways. It uses an inverted fork and a monoshock - seemingly with decent wheel travel to tackle bad roads. It weighs 209kg kerb and has a seat height of 839mm. For perspective, this adventure bike weighs 13kg more than the Himalayan, and has a 14mm taller seat than the Royal Enfield ADV. The 16-litre fuel tank should ensure decent range too.

    Features

The bike gets all LED lighting, a USB charging port, and a vertical TFT console. While the company hasn’t mentioned the details of the instrument console, we hope it gets smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The switchable rear ABS and traction control should be useful while riding offroad as it offers greater control by letting the rider perform a controlled slide.

    BikeDekho Says

Currently, Brixton Motorcycles has a very limited presence in India. The brand operates only five dealerships located in Delhi, Goa (Madgaon), Gujarat (Ahmedabad), Karnataka (Bengaluru), and Maharashtra (Kolhapur). We expect the bike to be launched sometime by the end of this year, likely at around Rs 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s clear that the brand is looking to enter the parallel-twin, 500cc adventure bike segment which currently has the Honda NX500, Benelli TRK 502, the upcoming CFMoto 450MT and BMW F 450 GS.
