The new Mojo 300 ABS will carry a premium of around Rs 4,300 over the XT 300 variant

  • The upcoming Mojo 300 ABS replaces the UT 300 and the XT 300.
  • Power output is likely to be the same as the XT 300 variant.
  • Will feature dual-channel ABS as standard.

A few days back, the 2019 Mojo 300 ABS was spotted and now we have its pricing. According to our sources, the 2019 Mojo 300 ABS will retail at Rs 1.88 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru). At this price, the new Mojo 300 ABS is around Rs 4,300 more expensive than the now-discontinued Mojo XT 300. In fact, the Mojo 300 ABS will be the only Mojo in Mahindra’s lineup from now on, as it replaces both the XT 300 and the UT 300.

Essentially, the Mojo 300 ABS is an amalgamation of both variants. While it sports the same design as the UT 300, the mechanical components are a mix and match of both the motorcycles. Powering the new Mojo 300 ABS will be the same 300cc engine as seen on the previous models. However, our sources have confirmed that it will get fuel injection, making it BS6-ready. It will be tuned to churn out the same figures as the XT 300 variant: 27PS and 30Nm of torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed gearbox.

The conventional suspension setup and the single-sided exhaust has been carried over from the UT variant. While the disc size remains the same as the older models (320mm disc up front and 240mm disc), the J.Juan calipers have been replaced with ByBre units for cost cutting. Additionally, the bike comes equipped with dual-channel ABS. While the XT 300 and the UT 300 used to run on Pirelli Diablo Rosso II and MRF rubber, respectively, the new variant features Pirelli Angel CT tyres.

In terms of competition, the upcoming Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS will lock horns with the Bajaj Dominar 400, which is priced at Rs 1.74 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). We will be riding the brand new Mojo 300 ABS soon, so stay tuned to BikeDekho for our first ride report.
