EICMA 2025: Aprilia Tuono 457 Just Got A Purple Twist

The new purple colour scheme looks really wild!

Quick News Highlights

  • New colour is called Mantis Purple

  • The Tuono is the second bike on the 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor

  • No other changes to report on the

Aprilia has unveiled a new colour scheme for the Tuono 457 at EICMA 2025, held in Milan, Italy. The new colour is called ‘Mantis Purple’. Earlier, it was only available in Puma Grey and Piranha Red, with the new purple option adding a much-needed zing to the visual appeal.

While the bike retains its aggressive design, the front headlight cowl, fuel tank, and the sleek tail section are now purple coloured. The fuel tank extension gets red-coloured graphics which complement the new colour scheme well. All in all, it looks quite striking, and we think that this is the most youthful-looking paint scheme among the list.

The Aprilia Tuono 457 is powered by a liquid-cooled, 457cc parallel-twin engine that makes 47.6PS at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm at 6,700rpm, with a 6-speed gearbox. It gets a bidirectional quickshifter as an accessory, something that is standard on the Aprilia RS 457.

It gets an all-LED lighting setup and is equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument console. The bike also gets multiple riding modes, ride-by-wire throttle, dual-channel ABS and a traction control system. It has an inverted fork and a monoshock, both preload-adjustable, and rolls on 17-inch wheels wrapped in sticky TVS Protorq Extreme rubber. We think that this colour scheme might go on sale in India soon.

Unique bike but absolute comfort machine

My brother bought this bike a few months ago and it is excellent, in simple this bike is so comfortable to compare to Apache and BMW 310 r, its ride quality and speed, torque are great and the handling when you are at high speed is very smooth which is why i definitely recommend you to buy this bike. Also, I live in a tier 1 city but I only see some of these bikes in rare locations so you have something great and uniqueRead More
