Simple Energy Family Electric Scooter Launch Date Confirmed
Big range, practical design at an affordable price?
Simple Energy has announced that it will unveil its first family-oriented electric scooter on September 2, 2026. Unlike the brand's performance-focused offerings until now, the upcoming model is expected to target buyers looking for a practical, comfortable, and everyday-friendly electric scooter. With the family EV segment becoming increasingly competitive, this new launch will mark an important step for the Bengaluru-based manufacturer.
What Do We Expect?
The upcoming scooter is expected to feature a much more conventional design than the sporty-looking Simple One. The scooter was spied testing a while back, and we could clearly see a long single-piece seat, suggesting that rider and passenger comfort will be a key priority. It is also likely to ride on 12-inch alloy wheels and use a telescopic fork, keeping the setup simple and well suited to daily commutes.
On the mechanical front, the electric scooter is expected to be powered by a 3.7 kWh battery pack delivering a claimed range of over 180 km on a full charge. A swingarm-mounted electric motor is also expected, which should help keep the powertrain compact and efficient.
Feature-wise, the scooter is likely to get a TFT touchscreen instrument console with all the bells and whistles you expect from a modern electric scooter, making it competitive with other premium family scooters in the segment.
Pricing is expected to be around Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it in direct competition with the Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak C2501, Vida VX2, TVS Orbiter, and Ampere Nexus.
