The Suzuki Access 125 Ride Connect Edition costs Rs 90,727. It builds on everything the Special Edition (Rs 87,827, both ex-showroom Delhi) already gets right and adds a connected console to the list. Here is what this variant brings to the table:

Design And Styling

The Ride Connect carries the same clean, classy design the whole Access range is known for; nothing sharp or overdone about it. You get the rectangular LED headlight with its chrome bezel, the U-shaped LED DRL up front, crease lines on the side panels, and a neatly laid out tail light and indicator design at the rear that gives the scooter some character. Like the Special Edition, this trim gets those beige panels inside the apron, below the seat, and on the floorboard, for an extra dose of premium quotient.

It also unlocks a shade the cheaper variants don't: Pearl Shiny Beige, alongside Metallic Mat Black No. 2, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, Pearl Grace White, and Solid Ice Green, so you get five colours here instead of four. Build quality is as solid as the rest of the range, with consistent panel gaps and no rattling even on rough roads.

Features

The big draw here is Bluetooth connectivity on the console, something the Special Edition below it doesn't offer. Pair your phone, and you get turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, and weather updates right on the dash. It's still an LCD unit rather than a colour screen; the TFT display is saved for the variants further up the range. But that isn’t really a dealbreaker as both show the same set of information.

You still get the same multi-function key slot that unlocks both the seat and the sideways-opening external fuel filler, which saves you the hassle of getting off the scooter at the pump. There's a USB port on the apron too, though it's the older Type-A kind with output on the lower side. Storage carries over as well: 24.4 litres under the seat, two open cubby holes on the apron, and hooks for bags, including the seat-mounted pegs that keep your groceries from sliding around once you close the seat.

Safety And Braking

You get the same front disc brake and alloy wheels as the Special Edition here, rather than the drum brakes and pressed-steel wheels on the base Standard. It's still backed by a combined braking system, not ABS, so you'll need a firm pull on the lever to stop quickly, and using both brakes together is the safer bet if you're in a hurry. You still get a kick starter as backup, and the parking brake lock is present here too, though it can feel a bit fiddly to use.

Engine And Performance

Power comes from the same 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine used across the range, making 8.42PS at 6,500rpm and 10.2Nm of torque at 5,000rpm, paired with a CVT and both kick and electric start. It's a peppy little motor that stays refined at any speed, making weaving through traffic genuinely easy thanks to the throttle's responsiveness.

Mileage works out to around 55kmpl in mixed riding in our tests, and with the 5.3-litre tank, you should get about 250km range.

The Ride Connect Edition makes sense if you actually want Bluetooth on your scooter, turn-by-turn navigation, alerts, and the works on the dash. But if that's not a priority for you, the Special Edition gets you the same engine, disc brake, and alloy wheels for a bit less money.
