Keeway Hypevolt-R Features Explained

For the price, this electric scooter not only offers good range, but also comes with a long list of features

Keeway recently launched the Hypevolt-R electric scooter in India. It is a feature-packed electric scooter that combines sporty styling with modern technology. It gets a large TFT display, smartphone connectivity, multiple riding modes, reverse assist and several advanced rider aids, making it one of the most tech-loaded electric scooters in its segment. Here’s a closer look at everything it offers.

5-inch TFT Instrument Console

The Keeway Hypevolt-R comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT console that shows speed, battery percentage, remaining range, riding mode, trip meter, odometer and other essential ride information. The display is easy to read and adds to the bike’s premium appeal. The scooter supports Bluetooth connectivity through a dedicated smartphone app. Riders can access battery status, ride statistics, service reminders and other vehicle information directly from their smartphone.

Riding Modes

The Hypevolt-R offers Eco, City and Sport riding modes. Eco mode is tuned for maximum range, City mode balances performance and efficiency for everyday use, while Sport mode delivers the bike’s full performance for quicker acceleration and a more engaging riding experience.

The bike also gets a reverse assist function, making it easier to move the scooter backwards in tight parking spaces or on slight inclines. This is especially useful since electric scooters tend to be heavier due to their battery packs.

Fast Charging Support

The Hypevolt-R supports fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge significantly quicker than with a standard charger, reducing downtime between rides. It takes 3 hours to get charged from 0 to 80%.

Other Convenience Features

The Keeway Hypevolt-R comes with an all-LED lighting setup, including the headlight, tail lamp and turn indicators. Besides offering better illumination than conventional halogen units, LEDs also consume less power and add to the scooter’s premium look.

For added convenience, the bike also gets USB Type-A and USB Type-C charging ports, allowing riders to charge smartphones and other electronic devices on the go. It also features keyless ignition, enabling riders to unlock and start the scooter without taking the key out of their pocket, making everyday use more hassle-free.

Safety Features

Keeway has equipped the Hypevolt-R with an impressive list of electronic safety aids. It gets dual-channel ABS, which helps prevent the wheels from locking under hard braking, improving stability and rider confidence. The bike also comes with traction control, which limits wheel spin on slippery surfaces to maintain grip during acceleration.

Adding to its safety package are several advanced rider assistance systems, including blind spot detection, which alerts the rider to vehicles in adjacent lanes, and lane change assist, which provides additional awareness while switching lanes.

The Hypevolt-R also features rear collision warning, designed to alert following traffic during sudden braking, improving visibility in emergency situations. For riders tackling hilly terrain, the bike gets hill hold assist, which prevents it from rolling backwards while starting on an incline, and hill descent control, which helps maintain a controlled speed while riding downhill.
