The 2026 Aprilia Tuono 457 Special Edition has been launched at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets 2 new colour options – Mamba Black and Puma Grey – inspired by the legendary 2006 Tuono 1000R. Both colours look appealing and give the bike a unique character.
There are also other changes that make the bike more comfortable. The new smoked windscreen to help with wind protection at high speeds. The handlebar is now raised, and results in a more upright seating position. The special edition also gets an adjustable brake lever.
The special edition Tuono 457 has a revised suspension. It is now said to be more over bad roads. Adding to this the new seat padding for improved comfort.
Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged. It is powered by the same 457cc parallel twin engine making 47.6PS and 43.5Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike continues to get a TFT screen along with Bluetooth connectivity. It gets 3 ride modes, a ride-by-wire throttle, all-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and switchable traction control. Aprilia is also offering optional accessories such as a tyre pressure monitoring system, a bidirectional quickshifter, sintered brake pads, a USB charging socket, electronic anti-theft system, and more.

The Aprilia Tuono 457 was already an impressive bike, but the brand seems to have listened to the feedback to improve it. During our road test review the seat felt comfortable for about 200km, but with the changes, it should now feel comfortable over even longer distances.
Back then, the bike didn’t feel as good going over the bad roads. That might not be the case anymore. The taller handlebar should reduce the sporty posture of the previous iteration. The adjustable front brake lever was previously an optional accessory worth about Rs 5,000. However, the special edition is just about Rs 2,700 more expensive than the standard bike. That gives it a fantastic value for money. The Tuono 457 still rivals the likes of the KTM 390 Duke R.
