Bajaj launched the next-gen Pulsar 125 recently, with prices starting at Rs 92,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). Bajaj gave it a complete overhaul, starting with a new engine, a modern chassis, and a modern feature list. Here’s how it performs in the real-world:
Design And Styling
Compared to the last gen, the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar 125 has an even sharper design. However, the overall look of the bike remains familiar.

The change from twin rear shock absorbers to a monoshock on this gen makes the rear looks sportier than before.

It is available in 5 colour options: Dark Silver + Aqua Blue, Ebony Black + Cyan Blue, Ebony Black + Magenta Red, Fury Red + Light Orange, and Saffire Blue + Blue Silver.
Features And Technology
The new gen Pulsar 125 gets all the features to make your daily rides convenient. The instrument console is digital across the variants, however, the base variant comes with an LCD unit, while all other variants sport a 5-inch TFT.

Pulsar 125 comes in four flavours: a single-piece seat with colour LCD console; a single seat with TFT console, a split seat with TFT console, and a top variant which has a split seat with TFT console, WiFi and Google Maps mirroring.

We tested the bike with an LCD unit, and it was clear to read even under harsh sunlight and it did not feel cluttered.

Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and call/text alerts are standard across the variant lineup, and the top model has Google Maps mirroring.

The USB-C charging port is standard on the top three models, but on the base variant one can pay a bit more to have it as an accessory.

It gets all LED lighting, except the base variant gets bulb indicators.

You can navigate through the instrument console via the new switchgear.

It also gets a crawl feature that reduces the need for clutch modulation at slow speeds and helps prevent engine stalling during bumper-to-bumper traffic.

The Pulsar 125 has three riding modes – Road, Rain and Sport. The Sport mode is the most ideal mode as it makes the riding experience exciting, but also predictable.
Engine And Performance
The new Pulsar 125 gets an all new and refined engine with smoother mechanicals, while retaining its commuter-friendly character, with a bit of performance.

It uses an air-cooled engine, 124.58cc, which is smoother and stronger in the low-to-mid range, producing 12.1 PS and 11.4 Nm.

City riding is much easier than before due to its smoother gearbox and lighter clutch.

The Pulsar 125 can comfortably cruise at 80-85 kmph on highways, without the engine feeling stressed.

The bike feels smooth, relaxed and refined till 6,000 rpm, beyond that the engine reveals its real nature and feels more exciting and fun to ride. Vibrations creep in only at 8000rpm and above. That said, you won’t be riding at such high rpms in most of your commutes anyway.

Slow speed tractability is so good that you can easily pick up pace even at 30 kmph in 5th gear.

Impressively, we got 49 kmpl mileage, even after riding it spiritedly. And this figure is very close to the brand’s claimed mileage of 55 kmpl.
Underpinnings And Handling
The revised suspension, the lighter weight and the new chassis come together to make it a very good handling machine in the city, while it feels planted and agile enough for highway riding.

It uses a new diamond tubular frame which is lighter and stiffer, and the lower kerb of 131 kg makes the bike easier to flick in traffic.

The new suspension setup comes with a telescopic fork and a monoshock at the rear. The fork absorbs bumps really well, but the rear is a bit on the stiffer side. It does get a bit better with a pillion, though.

The Pulsar 125 now tips into corners with less effort than before and feels confident-inspiring while leaning, and the tyres offer decent grip as well.

It gets 260 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum braking setup, and the braking is predictable and spot-on. With so many changes and feature add-ons, we expected the brand to give at least single channel ABS on the top variant.

The bike’s 795 mm seat height makes it quite accessible. And the 184 mm of ground clearance is really good too.

The 2026 Bajaj Pulsar 125 is a generational evolution of the bike. It is smoother, more refined and easy to handle than before and yet, it retains its Pulsar-ness. It has become modern, capable and desirable with its design and feature set. The bike feels at home in the city, but won’t complain if you go out on the occasional highway rides as well. It’s a great option for Pulsar fans who want the iconic styling but tweaked with modernity everywhere - be it aesthetics, mechanicals or features.
