Breaking: Your First Look At The Upcoming LML Bike

To be launched on September 29

A new spy shot that emerged online has given us a clear look at the upcoming LML electric bike which is slated to be launched in two days’ time.

This new LML bike features a supermoto design language with a flat bench-style seat, miniscule beak, upright handlebar and a flat LED headlight.

Given LML’s partnership with eRockit, we would expect this bike to pack punchy performance. However, the talking point about this bike is the presence of pedals, which stand out.

The reason this aspect stands out is that it lets out the fact that the LML e-bike is not a performance-oriented machine. It does have a rather small front petal disc brake, which further gives credence to this assumption. Based on the spy shot, it is clear that this bike also uses a belt drive.

That said, it does feature a USD fork, a monoshock and what looks to be a rear disc brake. It is also equipped with a ‘tank’, but the large opening up top does indicate that this space is for storage. We can also see a large instrument console, but whether this is a TFT touchscreen or an LCD unit, is something we will have to wait two days to find out.

Several ‘90s kids would have fond memories of the Bajaj Chetak and LML scooters and just like the former evolved into a modern electric scooter, LML too is making a comeback, albeit with modern electric offering(s).

It has recently applied for a trademark for the names ‘LML Star’ and ‘LML Hyperbike’, thus giving rise to the speculation that it might launch these two products, one of which is the e-bike that has been spied on, in a couple of days.
