Its launch is less than a fortnight away

Vida has once again, teased the launch of its new electric scooter: In a video put up on YouTube, The company has confirmed that the Hero Vida electric scooter will be here on October 7. The silhouette of the scooter in the teaser looks similar to the Gogoro e-scooters. That said, the scooter in the video could be for illustration purposes.
Interestingly, a Hero Scooter was spied on last week and we think it could have very well been this new Vida electric scooter completing the final rounds of testing. While there aren’t many details known about the scooter, a prototype was shown virtually back in August last year and it seemed to employ a mid-mounted motor. Here’s what you can expect from the upcoming e-scooter.
Previous photos have revealed that the e-scooter will get a telescopic front fork and a monoshock in the rear taking care of suspension duties. It is likely to get drum brakes and will ride on 12- and 10-inch alloys, at the front and rear, respectively. As for the price, we expect Hero to price it around the Rs 1 lakh mark (ex-showroom), or even lower. Once launched, the Hero Vida electric scooter will go up against the TVS iQube Electric and Bajaj Chetak. In related news, Hero hiked the prices of some of its two-wheelers recently.
