Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xtreme 250R in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The bike is priced at Rs 1,79,900 (ex-showroom), depending on the variant.

Design

The Hero Xtreme 250R has a sporty and aggressive look. It features sharp tank extensions, a sculpted fuel tank, an angular LED headlight, a split-seat design, and a high rear tail section. The gold-coloured inverted fork gives it a premium touch. The bike comes in a total of three colour options: Neon Shooting Star, Stealth Black and Firestorm Red.

Engine

The Xtreme 250R is powered by a new 250cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 30PS and 25Nm, and a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

Underpinnings

The 250R uses a chassis derived from the Karizma XMR 210. Suspension-wise, it gets an inverted fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. The braking setup includes disc brakes at both ends, paired with dual-channel ABS. Both the alloy wheels are 17-inches in size.

Features

The bike comes with a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth smartphone connectivity. It gets all LED lighting, riding modes, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, traction control, and dual-channel ABS, with an option to turn off the rear ABS. The bike also gets a USB type-C port for charging your devices on the go.

Rivals

The Hero Xtreme 250R rivals bikes like the KTM Duke 250, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, Honda CB300R, Suzuki Gixxer 250, and the Bajaj Dominar 250.

Xtreme 250R

I wanted an upgrade from 125 cc so I chose the 250cc segment. i got my xtreme 250r this month and my 1st opinion it's crazy good i don't know why people complain about engine oil leak and other stuff if you cold start your bike properly there won't be any such issue. Seating posture is comfortable for me although I feel a bit soreness in my forearms. Mileage since I have not done the 1st service i am getting around 35 in long rides but around 20 for areas with much traffic If u want the fastest 250 go for it. Road presence is too too good. If you don't have a problem with the mileage you are going to love this bike. The only thing I don't like is that the service can only be done in premium showrooms.Read More

Value for Money Sports Bike

I picked the Hero Xtreme because I needed a bike that can handle both city traffic and longer rides comfortably. I really liked the sporty design, and when I took it for a test ride, the engine felt smooth and strong, exactly what I was looking for. The riding experience has been very smooth. The bike is comfortable for my daily rides, fuel efficiency is decent, and the handling is excellent. Highways feel safe and stable. Hero's after-sales support is reliable. After using the bikes for years I shifted to this bike and fantastic what a change! The mileage is amazing and I feel more confident on longer rides now. It is also low maintenance. I 100% recommend this bike.Read More

Strong Engine and Easy Handling

I chose this bike mainly for its balance of power and price. It’s not too heavy, yet it has enough punch for highways. Hero’s service network nearby also made me feel confident that maintenance wouldn’t be a problem. My experience with Hero Xtreme 250R has been good. The bike starts fastly even on cold mornings and the ride is quite stable. I love how easy it is to handle in tight traffic. Plus the fuel efficiency is a big plus for my daily office commute. I have been riding my Hero Xtreme 250R to college every day for over a year. It is light, easy to handle and my friends often borrow it too. One rainy day it did not slip even once it felt really safe. Yes, I have recommended it especially for students.Read More

Reliable Bike for Everyday Riders

I chose the Xtreme 250R basically because of its outstanding price-performance balance. I had been searching for an honest 250cc bike that would feel solid on the road without getting heavy. I also liked how easy it is to maintain a Hero brand motorcycle. Riding the Hero Xtreme 250R has been smooth and reliable. It manages city traffic well and the mileage is good for daily commutes. One time I took it on a long tour to a nearby place and it did not let me down at all. Feels sturdy and comfortable for long rides too! I ride my Hero Xtreme 250R bike for delivery work in the city. It is super dependable even in traffic. One day it rained like crazy, but the bike started in one kick the next day. I had to say go for it! Read More

Great Bike for City and Highway Rides

I chose the Hero Xtreme because I wanted a bike that could handle city traffic and occasional highway rides without compromising comfort. The sporty look immediately caught my attention, and after a test ride, the smooth handling and powerful engine sealed the deal. I like taking short trips and riding this bike to work. Even on rough roads, the comfort level is respectable, and it manages traffic well. The engine runs smoothly and the highway rides smoothly. Hero's after-sales support is prompt and courteous when addressing problems. I gave this bike to my daughter as a gift, and i also use it for travel. It has been a smooth ride ever since, literally. The digital display feels modern. I have not any complaint, I would 100% recommend it.Read More
