Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 To Be Offered In New Red Shade

The Bajaj Avenger is among the most popular cruiser motorcycles in the Indian market. But sales of the cruiser bike were stagnant for the past few years despite getting new powerplant options. But ever since the time that the bike received an update last year sales of the bike has risen significantly. Bajaj wants to maintain this momentum and for this purpose had recently launched the Avenger Cruise 220 in a new shade of gold.

It seems Bajaj is planning to offer the cruiser bike in another new shade as images of the bike with the new colour option has been posted online. Bajaj is soon set to offer the Avenger Cruise 220 in a new red colour which is similar to the recently introduced 'Cocktail Wine Red' as seen on the Bajaj V15.

Apart from the new colour option no mechanical changes are expected on the cruiser motorcycle. The Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 is powered by a 220cc, oil-cooled single-cylinder motor delivering 19PS at 8,400rpm and 17.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The powerplant is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Suspension duties on the bike are handled by telescopic front forks and twin-shock hydraulic unit at the back. Braking is done by disc brake at front and drum brake has been employed on the rear-wheel. The Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 retails for Rs 85, 497 ex-showroom Delhi and we expect the new colour to be offered at no additional cost.
