Still the only 600cc inline-four superbike in India
Kawasaki has launched the 2026 Ninja ZX-6R in India at Rs 11,69,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is Rs 16,000 more than the previous model. The bike does not get any major changes other than a new graphic with the same colour scheme as the 2025 model. The deliveries will commence from the first week of September, 2025.
What’s New
The 2026 version of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R comes with a Lime Green paint scheme, which is the same as before, but it now gets new white, blue, and black graphics. Also, unlike the previous model which used to come with colour-coded rim stripes, this 2026 model gets more minimalist-looking all-black wheels.
What’s Unchanged
The new ZX-6R continues with the same 636cc inline four-cylinder engine that still makes 124PS at 13,000rpm and 69Nm at 11,000rpm. This engine has been praised for its refinement, engaging power delivery and overall performance. It uses an aluminium frame along with an inverted fork and rear adjustable monoshock, both from Showa. There are two 310mm front discs with four-piston calipers and a 220mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels with a 120-section front and a 180-section rear tyre. It weighs 198kg (kerb), gets a saddle height of 830mm, a 17-litre fuel tank and a low ground clearance of 130mm.
Visually, the 2026 model ZX-6R continues with a sporty design as before, with its smooth overall looks and sharp body panels. The bike gets all-LED lights and a 4.4-inch TFT console which supports smartphone connectivity via Kawasaki’s Rideology application. It also gets dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control, bidirectional quickshifter and four ride modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Custom.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is the most powerful 600cc sports bike in India, with only the less powerful Honda CBR650R and Triumph Daytona 660 to compete with. While it has become more expensive now, it’s still the only inline-four 600cc superbike in India, which makes it a straightforward choice when you want a bike from that segment. However, its rivals offer a more comfortable ride, but with a tradeoff in performance.
