2025 Hero Xtreme 125R: Variants Explained
There are three variants including the recently launched ‘Single Seat’, and here’s how they differ from each other
Hero MotoCorp recently launched the single-piece seat variant of the Xtreme 125R. The lineup now consists of three variants, each catering to slightly different rider needs and preferences.
Hero Xtreme 125R IBS
The most affordable variant, the Xtreme 125R IBS is priced at Rs 96,425 (ex-showroom Delhi). It comes with a 240mm front disc brake and a combined braking system (CBS). In comparison, the other two variants get a bigger front disc and get single-channel ABS. IBS (integrated braking system) is Hero’s own term for its version of CBS.
Hero Xtreme 125R ABS
Next in the lineup is the Xtreme 125R ABS variant priced at Rs 1,00,100 (ex-showroom). This version upgrades to a larger 276mm front disc brake and comes with single-channel ABS. Both this and the base model get a split-seat setup.

The most recent addition to the range is the Xtreme 125R Single Seat ABS variant, which is also priced at Rs 1,00,100 (ex-showroom) - same as the ABS variant. The only difference here is the seat design - instead of a split seat setup, this variant comes with a single-piece seat. While the seat height is the same, the re-profiled seat might add to the rider comfort and make seating a pillion easier.
What’s Common?
All variants of the Hero Xtreme 125R are powered by a 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 11.55PS at 8,250rpm and 10.5Nm at 6,500rpm. It is paired to a five-speed gearbox. The claimed mileage and 0-60kmph acceleration figures are 66kmpl and 5.9 seconds, respectively.
The bike is built on a diamond-type frame, and gets a 37mm telescopic fork, a seven-step preload adjustable monoshock - both tuned by Showa. All variants come with a 130mm drum brake at the rear. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with a 90-section front and 120-section rear tyre. It has a seat height of 794mm, ground clearance of 180mm, and weighs 136kg kerb.
Features include LED lights all around, a hazard light switch, a USB charging port, a negatively-lit fully digital LCD instrument console - with Bluetooth connectivity and phone alerts via the Hero app. Notably, it misses out on turn-by-turn navigation on all models. It gets three colour options across all variants: Cobalt Blue, Firestorm Red, and Stallion Black.

Out of all the variants, we would suggest spending the extra amount of just Rs 3,625 over the base model to get either of the other two variants with ABS - for an added safety net.

It is comfortable in long rides also and mileage is also good comparing to it's sporty look and performance. Engine comes in this is 125 cc but bike looks very sporty and also feels the same.
