Indian two-wheeler giant TVS Motors has launched two new models of its well-known series Apache and Victor today. The Apache has received a fresh 200cc, oil-cooled engine, whereas the Victor falls in the 110cc commuter segment. For TVS, the Victor name has performed well in the past and the company has revived and updated the model for 2016 . The first TVS Victor came to the market in 2001, but it was discontinued by the company in 2007 due to fall in sales. This new 2016 Victor becomes the first 110cc bike to have a 3-valve engine.

The new TVS Victor is powered by a 109.7cc single cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve engine mated to a 4-speed constant mesh transmission. The engine produces a maximum power of 9.27bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 9.4Nm at 6,000 rpm. This engine is housed in a single cradle tubular frame, with telescopic oil dampened suspension at the front, and 5-step hydraulic series suspension system at the rear. According to the pictures, the bike looks to have a comfortable seating and stability better than before.

The bike will be available in two variants that include front disc brake as an option. The drum and disc variants of Victor are priced at Rs. 49,490 and Rs. 51,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. Optional disc brake variant is priced higher, as it gives a good control to the machine during emergencies as the variant that is equipped with standard drum brakes won’t be different from any other bike falling in the same segment, except the engine and performance.
