Overview
Honda's new X-Blade is an interesting addition to the Japanese bikemaker's portfolio. It sits between the CB Unicorn 150 and CB Hornet 160R. Unlike the Unicorn, the X-Blade has an aggressive design language courtesy a sculpted fuel tank, taller fly screen, an underbelly cowl, dual outlet muffler and chunky grab rails. Other eminent features include an LED headlamp shaped to look like a robot's face, LED tail lamp and an all-digital instrument cluster with a gear shift indicator, hazard light, and a service reminder.
Powering the X-Blade is a 162.71cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, BSIV-compliant engine that generates a max power of 14.12PS @ 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.9Nm @ 6000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The capacity of the fuel tank is 12 litres. It is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels shod in tubeless tyres at both ends. Braking duties are carried out by a 276mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear. Suspension setup comprises of telescopic front and monoshock rear.
The X-Blade is currently available only in one variant - STD which is priced at Rs 79768 (ex-showroom Delhi). However, there are five colour options to choose from - Matte Marvel blue Metallic, Matte Marshal green Metallic, Matte Frozen silver, Pearl Spartan red, and Pearl Igneous black. The X-Blade takes on the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160, the Yamaha SZ-RR, and the Hero Xtreme Sports.

Honda XBlade BS4 Latest Updates
Honda is yet to provide the necessary updates to the X-Blade to make it eligible for sale in the BS6 era. The Honda X-Blade is one of the few remaining Honda products to receive their BS6 updates, which we guess will take place soon as a few Honda factories are resuming operations. Expect Honda to announce the arrival of the BS6 bike shortly.
Honda XBlade Price:
The Honda X-Blade price was Rs 89,136 (ex-showroom Delhi). It was available in just a single variant and in five colours. The BS6 Honda X-Blade price premium that you might have to pay is around Rs 8,500.
Honda XBlade Features:
One of the main highlights of the Honda X Blade is its design. This radical looking motorcycle brought a bit of stylishness to the 150cc commuter class, thus distinguishing it from the plain jane Honda Unicorn. This feeling was amplified by the robotic LED headlight and X-styled tail-light. It also got a full digital console with a gear shift indicator, hazard light and service reminder.
Honda XBlade Engine:
The Honda X Blade draws power from the same 162. 71cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that you find on the Hornet or the new Unicorn BS6. The motor on the XBlade is still to receive its BS6 updates. It does put out less power than the Hornet, 14. 12PS and 13. 9Nm. Expect a small drop in figures once the engine meets BS6 norms.
Honda XBlade Suspension & Brakes:
There is nothing too fancy to find on the Honda X-Blade in terms of underpinnings as the frame is suspended by a telescopic fork and monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a 276mm front disc and 130mm rear drum, single-channel ABS is standard.
Honda XBlade Rivals:
The Honda X-Blade competes with the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar 150, the Yamaha FZ-S Fi and the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V.
