For those who travel a lot on their motorcycles and don’t like carrying a backpack around or don’t want to land up with a back ache, using a motorcycle tank bag makes a lot of sense. Well the guys at Evolution Moto Designs – EMD for short have made one and we recently got to test it out.

The yellow Leech Tank bag that we got, is surrounded by 1680D x 1680D outer fabric with PU coating and can hold about 18 liters volume of stuff. That’s more than enough space for a weekend ride. It uses SUN Runner and Chain zips, has reflective tape for added visibility in low light conditions and also comes with a mesh bottle holder and a 5mm clear sheet pocket for mobile phone and gps devices.

To make it more usable every day, there are also convertible straps so you can convert it into a back pack. Five powerful magnets on the strap hold the tank bag snug on the tank and the foam leather base prevents marks and scratches. When we tested it out, the bag didn’t move while mounted on the tank even when filled with some heavy equipment. The bag itself weighs just 1 kg and comes with a 1 year warranty. The Yellow Leech tank bag from EMD can be fitted on to almost every motorcycle with a metal tank including Harley Davidsons, Triumphs and Royal Enfield motorcycles.
