Overview
The bike has been featured in Mission Impossible Rogue Nation trailer. It is one of the machines which stands among the top supersport motorcycles across the world because of its commendable build quality, power and aesthetics. It has been a sale in India from the last year and has been giving a tough competition to other leading players of this segment such as Yamaha YZF-R1 and Suzuki GSX-1000RR.
BMW S1000RR is propelled by a 999cc, in-line four cylinders, a liquid-cooled engine which comes mated to a six-speed transmission system. The powerful mill pumps out a peak power of 195.2 bhp at 13500 rpm along with a maximum torque of 113 Nm at 10500 rpm. It comes equipped with the electronically fuel injected engine that let it go from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.10 seconds and pushes it to a maximum speed of 299 kmph. The manufacturer bolted it on an aluminium composite bridge frame and it runs on 120/70 ZR17 front and 190/55 ZR 17 rear tyres. Besides this, the fierce stopping power is provided by 320mm dual discs with four piston calliper at the front and 265mm single disc with a twin-piston calliper at the rear. The brakes are integrated with a disengage-able BMW Motorrad Race Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) for better safety.
The company blessed it with a unique twin headlight structure that make it look stunning and engaging. The fuel tank of the bike is neatly designed to perfection which make it look even more hostile and offering a good and comfortable riding posture to the rider. The front fairing of the machine dressed up in a proper Supersports uniform. The motorcycle has been configured with a sporty step-up seat that comes well-padded and provides an excellent comfort level to the rider as well as pillion. The rear section of the bike consists of a triangular tail lamp with clear lens turning indicators. The bike sports two into one exhaust system that looks magnificent. The company offers it with three different riding modes,i.e., Rain, Race and Sport. A shift assistant pro is also equipped in the bike that enables quick and easy gear shifting without the involvement of clutch.
Design
BMW S1000RR has become more popular after it gets witnessed in the Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation official trailer. Needless to say, the bike was selected because of its splendid looks and majestic body styling that make it stand among the best-looking superbikes all around the world. The front fascia of the bike is furnished with a tough twin headlamp section that launch a bright and steady beam of light even in low rpm conditions. It comes with a nakedly chiseled fuel tank that looks remarkable and gives a good riding posture to the rider. Talking about the rear, the bike sports an elegant full LED tail lamp unit that looks spectacular with the two-into-one exhaust system.
It has an overall body measurement of 2050 mm in length, 826 mm in width, 1140 mm in height along with a wheelbase of 1438 mm, which ensures premium handling in all conditions. Apart from this, it also has a minimum ground clearance, which offers an exceptional stability around the corners. Furthermore, it has been aided with a sharply designed huge fuel tank with a capacity of 17.50 liters and its total kerb weight sums up is 204 kg. Talking about instrumentation, it is intelligently chiseled, which includes an analogue speedometer, a digital speedometer, twin trip meters, odometer and fuel gauge.

BMW S1000RR is featuring a 999cc, water/oil cooled, four strokes, in-line four cylinder engine which comes mated to a six-speed constant mesh gearbox and uses wet multiplate clutch assembly. The mill develops a net power of 195.2 bhp at 13500 rpm along with a maximum torque of 113 Nm at 10500 rpm. Apart from this, the machine has been aided with an electronic fuel injection system, which provides a crisp throttle response with a steady flow of power. The refined liquid-cooled engine has a compression ratio of 13.0:1 and comes with a bore x stroke ratio of 80 mm x 49.7 mm. With this arrangement, it can easily reach up to 0 to 100kmph in just 3.10 seconds and hits an impressive top speed of 299 kmph.
Handling & Ride Quality
The machine progress proudly over grippy and sticky 120/70 ZR17 front and 190/55 ZR17 rear tubeless tyres, which comes fitted over elegant and black lightweight aluminium alloy wheels. Furthermore, it is equipped with a dual 320mm disc brakes with four piston calliper at the front and 220mm single disc brakes with a single-piston calliper at the rear, that offers a fierce stopping power. Besides this, To enhance the braking ability, it is blessed with high-performance BMW Motorrad racing ABS. As to make the bike more adaptable, the ABS can be switched ON and OFF depending on the rider’s requirements.
