Bajaj Dominar 400 ABS version Is An Excellent Bike
An excellent bike that I purchased, I am very much satisfied with this bike. The Bajaj Dominar 400 is highly recommended cruiser in the touring segment. It has good riding comfort in any kind of climate, and in terms of mileage, I can't compare it with any of these segment bikes. I am getting 29kmpl in city and 36kmpl on highway mileage.

        Best Bike To Buy.
The Dominar has the same, well-positioned, wide handlebar that gives the rider an upright riding stance. The pegs are still slightly rear-set but don't get uncomfortable even over long distances. The seat also remains comfortable and reasonably roomy.

        Definitely a superb experience.
My overall experience with Dominar 400 ABS has been really great. Good for long rides, very comfortable while touring however it is not great to use in traffic. The engine tends to generate a lot of heat especially during summers it will be very difficult to manage in traffic. Again, great value for money. Superb experience.

If its a first medium to heavy range bike you're seeking, go for Dominar.
I've been using Dominar 400 since the day it was launched, so you can say almost like 2 years. Also, i'm a daily commuter, an office going guy, who commutes around 30-35 km daily. I'm not a proper rider, who has the time and luxury to ride towards ladakh, or any such places perse. My high-way riding is limited, max 500-600 kms of highway riding within every 2 months. Now speaking about the bike, so far, i can't say that i've any complaint with the bike, yet I'll try to highlight a few cons first: 1) Can be a bit uncomfortable when riding in city, as the turning radius is too limited as compare to that of other bikes. This is a major turn-off when driving in stiff traffic or narrow roads. 2) Problems during rainy season or extreme traffic-jams: The bike could heated up a lot in rains and / or during extreme traffic-jams, resulting you in stranded position as the bike will be turn-off and will resume to turn-back on, unless you let it to cool down for 10-15 minutes. (I keep my bike regularly serviced, after every 2 months, which includes oil & coolant change). 3) Availability of Parts: I live in Ahmedabad, and i remember once i need chain and chain sproket replacement. It costed me nearly INR 7,500 for the same, which per me is quite expensive when i compare it with Bullet. However, the major turn-off was the wait time, as I had to wait for nearly 2 months and have to do a several back & forth with Bajaj executives / customer care to get the spareparts delivered in my city for replacement. 4) Service: Each service, including Oil & Coolant change, Chain Service, and regular service costs around INR 2000. Pros.: 1) Comfortable seating & riding posture. 2) Can go easily on a speed of 120km on highways. 3) Excellent control. To be honest, you will never lose confident while breaking, leaning, grip, etc. Even in extreme rains, i've ridden the bike on 120km on a stretch of nearly 100 km, and no sweat at all as far as the stability, breaking, road grip, breaks, etc. is concern. 4) Mileage: 22km highway, 30-32 city.
