Here’s how the two-wheeler industry is bouncing back amid the COVID-19 pandemic 

The global two-wheeler industry continues to get back on track post the recent lockdown relaxations. We’d already witnessed a couple of new launches in India last week and the trend continues this week as well.  

 

  1. Ola Electric Etergo

In a bid to enter the national and global electric two-wheeler markets, Ola Electric has acquired European EV manufacturer Etergo. It’s on the verge of introducing its very first electric scooter that has a claimed range of 240km and a top speed of over 80kmph. Head here for more details.

 

2. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 India Launch Soon

Royal Enfield is all set to reveal its revamped lineup based on the J platform. The first of these bikes will be called the Meteor 350 and it is just weeks away from its official launch. Click here for more information.

On a slightly different note, Royal Enfield has introduced several finance schemes that enable you to pick up the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 or the Classic 350 for as low as Rs 15,000. More details here.

 

3. Suzuki Gixxer 250 BS6, Gixxer SF 250 BS6 Launched

Suzuki has finally launched the BS6 Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 in India. The duo was first showcased at Auto Expo 2020 and was expected to be launched a month later. However, the COVID-19 situation forced the brand to push back the dates. 

 

4. Benelli TNT 600RR Spotted

We’ve already seen the revamped TNT 600 -- or the SRK600 as Benelli calls it -- being readied on the factory floor. And now we’ve come across a faired version of the bike, possibly called the TNT 600RR. Here’s a closer look at the bike and its equipment.

 

5. Kawasaki Z650 BS6, Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX Launched

After launching the Ninja 650, Kawasaki has now shifted its focus to the Z650 and the Ninja 1000. Both bikes have been launched in their BS6 avatar for a nominal increment. The Z650 gets Kawasaki naked’s Sugomi styling philosophy, a new colour-TFT display, and grippier tyres while the Z1000 gets better electronics aids, revised ergos, and an updated feature list.
