Updated Triumph Thruxton 400 Spied: Gets New Display, Switchgear, and More
The cafe racer to get more modern with these updates
The updated Triumph Thruxton 400 was seen with quite a few updates. The Thruxton 400 was launched in August 2025, and it seems like the brand is gearing up for an update.
The most notable one is the new 4-inch TFT console from the recently-launched Bonneville T40. The display shape looks more in line with the overall design of the bike, despite being a fully digital unit.
Just like on the baby Bonnie, it should have mobile connectivity, call/SMS alerts and Google Maps mirroring. The bike also gets a new switchgear with 5-way buttons on the left-hand-side clip-on handle, which will be used to navigate the display.
We might also see riding modes, which are currently absent. The switchgear also has cruise-control toggle buttons, which could indicate the addition of the feature on the most-affordable cafe racer in India. That said, while not visible in the photos, we can also speculate cornering ABS and traction control to be a part of the package, given the sporty nature of the bike.
While the rest of the hardware appears to be the same, the tyres on the test mule are Pirelli Diablo Rosso. However, we might have to wait until the launch to see if these come factory-fitted.
BikeDekho Says
The Triumph Thruxton 400 is a modern cafe-racer, and is currently priced at Rs 2,76,522 (ex-showroom, Delhi). That said, with the updates, the price could be bumped a bit. We can expect it to be launched early-mid next year. Though it remains to be seen whether the Thruxton also gets the “T4” treatment with lower spec features to make it more accessible. All done, no changes to the engine are expected.
The Thruxton is the second-most expensive bike in Triumph's 350cc line-up after the Bonneville T40. That would make it a logical choice for it to be the first one to get all the new bits we’ve seen on the retro-styled roadster. Though, all of those could eventually trickle down to the other bikes in the range.
Considering the speculated launch time, if you are planning to get the Thruxton 400 this Diwali, weigh in your choices. Waiting could get you more features, but the price could go up too. That said, since there might not be any engine updates, performance should be the same. We would suggest waiting if you absolutely must have the revised features. However, if you aren’t bothered about those, the Thruxton 400 can be a good bike to get this festive season.
