UM Motorcycles Launch Renegade Commando at Rs. 1.59 lac

UM Motorcycles, in collaboration with Lohia Auto in India, has launched two variants of Renegade Commando priced at Rs. 1.59 Lac. These motorcycles, along with Renegade Sport S, are the first offerings by the US-based manufacturer in India. Lohia Auto will look after the manufacturing of these bikes in the country at its facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand. The company is presently selling bikes in Bangladesh and has already planned to set up 5 dealerships in India for the initial period of their operations. Priced competitively, the cruisers will compete with offerings from Royal Enfield.

Commando gets a 279cc mill that comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Thix motor generates a maximum power of 26.2bhp at 8,600rpm along with peak torque of 22.7Nm at 6,300rpm. Once the company is established in India, it will launch different models for different segments to expand its portfolio in the country. Launched with Commando is Renegade Sport S and Classic during the show.
