Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd (SMIL) seems to have started the production of the faired version of its latest 150cc premium motorcycle- Gixxer. An image of the bike in production have been emerged, which hints that the company might launch it anytime soon. Model in the image is completely undisguised and you can see the new graphic pattern on it.
There is controversy running about the name of this upcoming motorcycle. Different portals are claiming various names like first speculation was Gixxer SLK. Now, the newly reported names are Gixxer SF, GXF and GSX150R. However, we can see just a “GIXXER” moniker above the big “SUZUKI” graphics and a smaller “SUZUKI” moniker at the bottom of fairing. The streamlining and livery of the motorcycle is looking much similar to that of 2015 Suzuki GSX-R600 and GSX-R750 models. So, we believe that the company might keep the name in similar manner like GSX-R150.
As we already know that the bike is totally based on the existing naked sport motorcycle- Gixxer and keeps all the specifications and features of it. So we can expect that the company will not charge extra except for the full-body front fairing, which might cost around Rs. 5,000 - 10,000 additional. The Suzuki Gixxer comes with a price tag of Rs. 72,199 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it competes with the bikes like Yamaha FZ series, Honda CB Unicorn 160 and Hero Xtreme Sports. So the direct competitors of the faired Gixxer will be Yamaha Fazer.

Nearly 23000km covered the 2018 BS4 model. Quality parts are good, I got an accident an year ago with a car surprised that only my leg guard bent and little scratch on a tank. The car bonet was completely has broken. Pros:- 1. Good looking (especially tank size and look) 2. Good quality 3. We can cruise at speed of 65 to 85 on highway if no crosswind (we can go further but use windshield). However, am cruising around 65 to 75 speed in most case. 4. After 1 year, my exhaust sound is better (using motul engine oil, the engine is a little more smooth). 5. Breaking confidence is super (good breaking my bike equipped with dual disc no abs). Cons:- 1. Pillion seat is not good and also back seat and height is high (only zero fig.can sit there). 2. When hard braking rider moving to tank side. 3. The service cost is a little high. So, just buy a product from an authorized center and change yourself or with a local workshop.Read More
