Suzuki Hayate Motorcycle Launched at the Auto Expo

With launch of twin siblings Suzuki Hayate motorcycle and Suzuki Swish 125 scooter in 100 to 150cc segment during Auto Expo 2012, Suzuki Motors today opened its cards to mark its presence in expo 2012. Hayate is powered by 112.8cc, single cylinder, air cooled 4 stroke SOHC engine. It is anticipated that the price of Suzuki Hayate would be Rs 40,000. Features revealed about Hayate include Voluminous Fuel Tank, Aggressive Head Light, Compact Engine Design, Comfortable Low Seats, Stylish Rear Lights, Aluminium Die Cast Grab Bars, Aluminium cast Wheels and New age front fender. According to reports, Suzuki had appliced Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material to make Hayate light weighted and durable bike.

Suzuki Hayabusa

Suzuki has also integrated Suzuki Jet Cooling system followed by direct oil-cooling design that will enrich bike with effective performance. Besides this Suzuki had launched recently launched Suzuki Hayabusa in superbike segment of Indian bike market at a price range of Rs 12,50,000. With stylish and aggressive looks, the new Hayabusa is targeted for young bike riders and adorns wide array of various immersive and unbeatable features. According to Mr. Atul Gupta, SMIPL, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, the word Hayate denotes ‘Fresh Breeze’. Mr. Gupta informed that Suzuki Hayate will be available for sale in Indian two wheeler market from April.

He also added that during this period of three months between January to March, company will be deciding the price policy of Hayate. According to Mr. Gupta, Suzuki is expanding its production capacity and strengthening its production network. According to reports, SMIPL is endeavoring to increase its annual production capacity from 3.6 to 5.4 lakh units by 2013. Briefing about company’s performance, Mr. Gupta said that the company is progressing with annual growth between 25 to 30 % and is focusing to sustain it during coming years. According to sources of company, Hayate is simple commuting bike designed for customers who prefer to buy bike with fuel economy performance at an affordable price.
