Italy-based component maker, Supertech has disclosed its plans of launching its fuel optimiser device for the Indian market and also displayed this product during India’s biggest bike festival “India Bike Week”. This fuel optimiser device will go on sale in the next couple of months.

The Supertech fuel optimiser was tested in India and the company claims that it will reduce the fuel consumption of a truck by 12%. There are five models depending upon the fuel tank capacity, the largest model being able to work with up to 800 liters fuel tank capacity. For two-wheelers, the company suggests using the smallest model, i.e., Model A which has a length of 80mm and can be used with fuel tanks of up to 40 liters capacity.

Even though it has been certified according to European Emission Standards, however, to be sold in the Indian market, the device still needs to be approved by Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). Hence, the device is currently under testing at the ARAI facility and will be launched after the approval from the ARAI.
