Steelbird Hands Free Face Shield Launched In India

Reports suggest mobile phones might be one of the reasons for the spread of Covid-19

Safety has been top-priority during this Covid-19 pandemic. In fact, various two-wheeler manufacturers and helmet makers have resorted to producing masks and face shields for the public. Steelbird has now taken it a step further with its new IGN-1 HF static face shield which features inbuilt hands-free functions that allow users to attend calls without having to touch their mobile phones. What’s the big deal, you ask? Well, recent reports suggest that mobile phones might be one of the top reasons for the spread of Covid-19. The face shield is priced at Rs 1,879. It’s available on popular e-commerce sites.

Since it isn't possible to disinfect the mobile phone's screen as frequently as your hands, this hands-free solution should do the trick. It's quite unique too as theIGN-1 HF static face shield works without batteries, so there's no question of charging it. Users can listen to music, take phone calls and even access Google Assistant via the face shield. 

The unit is compatible with all mobile phones and is IP5 water resistant (hands-free part), which means the shield can be used even during the rain. The shield also takes the one size fits all approach as the ear pads can be adjusted as per the user’s ear size and position.

Steelbird plans to manufacture 1 lakh units of this hands-free face shield in three months (August-October). This isn’t Steelbird’s first rodeo in the medical stream. The company has already launched different types of face shields other than the recently launched the Herbal Immunity Booster Shots and N95 Masks to fight Covid-19.
