This Bounce Infinity E1 completes 4,340km over 19 days

A Kanniyakumari to Khardung La ride is on the bucket list of many Indian bikers. While most would envision attempting this ride on a Royal Enfield bike or on an adventure motorcycle, a YouTuber named Girish Shet has completed this ride on a Bounce Infinity E1 electric scooter.

Yes, you read that right. Girish rode the Infinity E1 for 4,340km over the span of 19 days to achieve this feat. Aiding Girish in successfully completing this ride was a support team that carried six batteries, which allowed him to swap batteries as and when needed.

Speaking to a publication, Girish revealed that he had to ride mainly on ‘Power’ mode in order to attain the scooter’s modest top speed of 65kmph. The Infinity E1 claims a range of 55km in this mode and, as a result, it needed 83 battery swaps throughout the ride.

This achievement, however, is claimed to deem the Bounce Infinity E1 to be the first electric scooter with swappable batteries to complete a K2K ride, a claim that is currently under verification by the India Book of Records. Girish also revealed that the Infinity E1 covered over 200km on an average each day, while the maximum distance he covered in one day during the journey was 330km.

The Bounce E1 electric scooter is powered by a BLDC hub motor offering a peak torque of 83Nm and a claimed top speed of 65kmph. There are two primary riding modes: Eco and Power. The claimed range in Eco mode is 65km, while the claimed range in Power mode is 55km. You can find more information about this e-scoot here.

The Infinity E1 is the first of its kind to be sold in India with and without the battery pack. The electric scooter with the battery pack and charger retails at Rs 68,999, whereas the one sold without the battery is priced at Rs 45,099 (both ex-showroom Delhi including FAME II and State subsidies).

Bounce has also been working with BPCL to set up a wide network of battery swapping stations at the latter’s fuel stations. The firm has also partnered with Crayon Motors to set up battery swap stations at other public places.
