Jawa Custom Competition: ADVs, Cafe Racers, Scramblers, Bobbers and More

The brand’s fans have thrown up some very interesting virtual creations

This lockdown has given most of us quite a lot of free time on our hands, so Jawa is engaging its fans during this period by conducting a custom bike competition. The Jawa Kommuniti Kustoms contest encourages fans to create their dream Jawa bike in the form of a virtual drawing, with the best concept being awarded a custom painted Jawa tank signed by the CEO of the company.

The advantage of this being a virtual contest is that participants can truly let their imaginations run wild, and most of them have done exactly that. The designs that have been thrown up vary from adventure bikes to bobbers to cafe racers to scramblers and everything in between. The ADV designs draw inspiration from the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan, Moto Guzzi V85 TT and Husqvarna Norden 901, each with its unique flavour and design concept.

Since the Jawa engine features twin exhaust ports, this lovely scrambler-themed design also features the characteristic high-mounted twin exhaust pipes in true scrambler fashion. Rather gorgeous, we think. The overhanging seat unit and long, raked-out appearance also look fantastic and this is definitely one of our favourite designs in the competition.

It’s got some stiff competition from this beautiful cafe racer concept, complete with the trademark hump behind the single seat unit. The silver drilled side panel underneath the seat looks great and adds contrast to the design, but we do wish the designer had given the bike bar-end mirrors to complete the look.
