Hyosung To Launch 250cc Bikes In India

Hyosung Motors, the Korean two-wheeler giant which has good market share in International bike segment, is mulling over to launch 250cc bikes in India in next financial year. The company is spreading its wings in Indian market through its Indian partner Garware Motors and has already announced three new superbikes.

 

At present, the graph of semi-sports bikes are increasing with unexpected growth and now Hyosung is also attracted to this segment and announced the launch of its 250cc motorcycle for Indians along with a naked version of its Hyosung GT 650R. This upcoming 250cc Hyosung bike will directly compete with Honda CBR 250R and Kawasaki Ninja 250R which are most popular semi-sports bikes in India.

 

Hyosung Motors has announced to launch its two new bikes in India such as Hyosung GT 650R which super sports and a cruiser Hyosung ST 7. Now the company will open bookings for these bikes with price tag of Rs 550,000 for GT 650R and Rs. 600,000 for ST 7 respectively from April 21 and the bikes will be delivered to customers by the end of May this year.

 

It has declared its 10 dealerships across India which would be just doubled by next year. Hyosung is also launching its completely-knocked down (CKD) assembly plant in India for ST7 and GT 650R along with its Pune based partner-Garware Motors. For this plant, the company is investing Rs 20 crore in Maharashtra. And it is expecting sales of above 2,000 units of both the models in first fiscal.

 

On the other hand, its upcoming 250cc bike would be priced almost same price as Honda CBR 250R and Kawasaki Ninja 250R which are priced at Rs 151,000 and Rs 269,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai), respectively.
